Erotic, lascivious, fetishy, performance art is what Simon Stinger is putting up on that stage. With their Las Vegas-like choreographed dancers and costumes, Simon Stinger puts on a show like no other band... they're not just playing their instruments, which seems to be the typical local music scene M.O.
Their heavy rock-tronica sound is shaped by Elivis Katic's thick drum loops and tasty fills with partner-in-crime, Victor James' danceably fearce bass playing... lending an important hand is Mary Cary and her beautifully distorted guitar singing along with Alicia Perrone's illustrious, luscious vocals (which no doubt has a bit of Missing Persons in there - sorry Alicia if that's not a comparison you like, but ya gotta love Dale Consalvi).
You'd expect no less from a band who grabbed their name off of a passing truck on their way to a BAM interview!

Go survey the Stinger site at www.simonstinger.com for their plethora of accomplishments: ranging from working on music for Pepsi to distribution in Rampage Clothing stores to Best Band status in numerous zines and papers (including the SF Herald)... what you can't get off the home page is dirt behind their fame due to Howard Stern and Mary's XXX site!
Turns out that piggy Howard had a XXX entrepreneur on his show named Mary Carey <--- now pay attention, there is an "e" in that name. If you missed it don't feel bad - Howard did too! He blurted the site address out on his national AM show and left out the "e" their too! In turn, our local (not so un-XXX) rock star Mary Cary's web site www.marycary.com got bombarded with XXX seekers which then got noticed by "Stuttering John", Howard's lackey. Hopefully we'll be hearing our local rockers on Stern soon!
So, get a show in while you still can... the next time you see them may be from the nose bleed section!
