"I have always had a certain song in my head, a certain chemistry of sounds. I've always liked to sing noises since I was little, but then again everybody's like that. But with writing songs - I have actually learned to talk and express myself in lyrics and it took twenty years."
-- BJORK

Don't Miss Wire Graffiti SATURDAY, March 8 2003 for their East Bay CD Release Party
at the Stork Club...

Going for a more obscure and deviant sound, Oakland-based Wire Graffiti succeeds in snaring the listener with rock-driven hooks while remaining dissonant and fresh with their third CD, Peculiar Love.

Vocalist Katherine Sawyer's libidinous ramblings spill over Stev Ohanis thick guitar riffs, which vacillate between quirky punk-prog and ethereal complication. Bassist Tim Sanchez and drummer Rob Tucker transport you with tenacious precision, making this WG's most defining recording to date!

In the studio, musician/producer, Scrote (Baby Snufkin, Casino Royale) honed in on the band's varied combination of influences bringing in musical guests Dave Palmer (Seal, Fiona Apple and Brian Eno, among others); on keyboards and horns, Mike and Travis Lafferty deepen the recording, while Angelique X (Venus Bleeding) gives her unique edge to backing vocals.

At just over 36 minutes, Wire Graffiti takes you sight-seeing into eleven intensely rich songs that make you feel like you've been gone for much longer.
